Imagine sau porțiune a unei imagini în care zonele de umbră (negru) nu prezintă detaliu, în urma unui expunerii insuficiente.

subexpunere

Greseala de expunere care produce disparitia detaliilor in umbre, cauzata de utilizarea unui timp de expunere prea imc, a unei diafragme prea inchise sau a unei sensibilitati ISO prea mici pentru nivelul de iluminare al subiectului fotografiat.
